Remodeling at the waterline
Pool Remodeling on the Outer Banks
Quartz replaster, heater and equipment upgrades, and vinyl liners for pools from Corolla to Cape Hatteras.
Chapter 01
The finish is the first thing an older pool asks you to replace
A well-built shell can outlast the people who swim in it. Four Seasons warranties its shotcrete shell for life. The parts around the shell are on shorter clocks: their published warranty table gives plaster finishes 5 or 10 years, and the pool light, cleaner, pump, filter, heater and controls 3 years each. That table is a fair map of where a remodel starts.
Replastering is the big one, and Four Seasons does it with quartz finishes, which carry a 5-year warranty on quartz finishes. The range runs from White to Midnight Blue, and the colour is custom-designed for each property, so the pool is matched to the house and the deck around it instead of picked off a stock card.
Colin Cox is the designer and head of the construction side at Four Seasons. If you are weighing a new pool against redoing the one you have, the construction line is (252) 207-5001.

Heat, flow and light on the equipment pad
Their remodel list names four upgrades: energy-efficient heating, filtration, lighting and water features. Heating is the one most owners ask about first, because it decides how much of the year the water is usable. Four Seasons works with Hayward H-Series heaters and HeatPro heat pumps, and as a Sta-Rite & Hayward Certified Service Center it knows the equipment it is replacing as well as the equipment going in.
Filtration and lighting are the other half of the pad. Pumps and filters sit on the same 3-year warranty line as the heater in their table, so they are natural companions in one visit to the pad. Lighting and water features, the waterfalls and cascading fountains Four Seasons builds on new pools, belong to the same remodel conversation.
Salt is a common ask on an older pool. A saltwater conversion is a one-time job priced under $1,000, and the salt chlorinator becomes one more piece of equipment Jeff and the weekly service techs look after.
Chapter 03
Vinyl liners, and a 2010 liner that is still the original
Not every pool is plaster. Four Seasons offers vinyl liners from 9 manufacturers with more than 200 patterns, including McEwen, Merlin and GLI. With that many patterns to choose from, the liner is where a vinyl pool gets its character.
The proof point sits in the family. The Cox family pool, built in 2010, still has its original vinyl liner, sixteen years on.
Four Seasons remodels pools from Corolla to Cape Hatteras, based in Point Harbor. Colin Cox runs construction; the construction line is (252) 207-5001.
A remodel works on a pool that is already in the ground. If you are starting from bare yard, the sequence from layout to steel to shotcrete is on the custom pool construction page. The deck around the pool is its own job, and pool decks covers pavers, coping and tile.
