Weekly Pool and Spa Service on the Outer Banks

Certified pool operators test, balance and clean your pool every week from Corolla to Nags Head, and send a report with a photo after each visit.

Chapter 01

What happens at your pool on every visit

The visit starts at the water, not the skimmer. The tech runs a full analysis: free and combined chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid and phosphates. The readings go into a PDA field computer on the spot, for the pool and for the spa, so the next visit starts from a record instead of a memory. Balance comes next, adjusted against those numbers.

Then the physical work. Skim the surface, brush the walls, vacuum the floor, and clean the pump strainer and the skimmer baskets. Wipe down the tile, the handrails and the deck area. Check the filter pressure and backwash or recharge the filter when it needs it, fill the chlorine feeder, and look over the equipment for anything that is starting to go.

Every tech is a full time employee and a certified pool operator. You get a full service report and a photo with every visit. Jeff Cox runs the service side of Four Seasons, and the company has no store front and does not sell chemicals, so nothing in the water is there because it was on a shelf.

Rental weeks and empty weeks are not billed the same

Four Seasons is a preferred vendor for rental companies, among them Village Realty, Twiddy and Outer Banks Blue. Weekly service runs through Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head, the stretch where most of the rental pools sit.

Unoccupied weeks carry no mid-week charges. During occupied weeks there are no extra charges for extra visits, so if guests are in the house and the water needs a second look, the second visit does not show up as a new line on the bill.

Techs carry the common parts on the truck, which means a small fix, a basket or a fitting, is done on the same visit instead of waiting on a callback.

Weekly service keeps the water right between the big jobs. When the season turns, the pool opening and closing visits are handled by the same crew. When a pump, heater or spa cover gives out between visits, spa and equipment repair is the same phone number.
